3 VANTAGE POINTS THAT HELP US ASSUME GOD’S IN CONTROL

Is God Really In Control?

Most Christians would assume so, but do we live like it? How would life change if seriously started every day with that belief?

You might be facing a big life change right now. Maybe you have a weighty decision to make? Maybe you’ve already made up your mind, but the steps forward are ominously large?

Perhaps, you’re holding on to some small piece of pride, greed or other area of sin; that is now preventing you from seeing the bigger picture? Maybe everything’s going great and you’re comfortable, but you realize that comfortable hasn’t been beneficial?

It’s time to set the alarm!

It’s time to schedule in a quiet morning. Embrace a moment to strategically re-think your life and calling.

This week, be the first to step into your local coffee shop or diner, and get a hot cup of coffee in your hand. Find a quiet corner where people can see that you’re there, but they also see that you’re there for a purpose.

It’s time to take a serious look at your life and calling, reminding yourself that God has a purposed plan for your life.

Start with these 3 vantage points:

  1. Look forward with intent, analysing the goals that you have set out before you. At the same time, accept the obstacles that might be in your way.
  2. Look to your peripheral, at the people standing by your side, who care for you deeply and want you to succeed.
  3. Look behind you, at all of the times where God has pulled you through or allowed you to experience folly; all of which has been beneficial.

Once you have taking a look at those 3 vantage points, take some mental notes or even better, written notes. It’s time to make some decisions. Though difficult, it’s time to decide upon and implement the first large, ominous steps forward.

All the while, don’t forget to assume God is in control.
