CONNECTING SHEPHERDS – PART 4

Connecting Shepherds with Good News of Great Joy!

The shepherd’s joy for the coming Messiah, points to an even greater joy that we as Believers experience. When we receive and accept the Good News of the Gospel, we then belong to Good Shepherd of all mankind.

I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, 15 just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.” (Jn. 10:14-16)

When was your moment of great joy?

When did you first submit to the Good News of the Gospel, and enter under the Good Shepherd’s care? When did you first hear the Good Shepherd’s voice?

For those of us who can point to a time when we were convicted of our sinful lives, repented, trusted in our Saviour and accepted Him; we know that joy. Furthermore, following which, receiving the gift, the helper and comforter, the Holy Spirit; we know that joy.

However, as Jesus states in Matthew 7,

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,” (Mt. 7:21)

There are many people in the church today who are at risk of eternal separation from God, but they have no idea.

Even those who may have grown up in a Christian home, attended church regularly, and even did lots of Christian things. Yet they have never truly received and accepted the good news of great joy. They have never truly heard the shepherds voice.

Maybe that’s you?

Maybe through this post, you’ve heard the Good Shepherd’s voice for the very first time. I’d encourage you; please submit your life to Him today and choose to follow Him.
