Everyone Loves To Sing Along With Their Favourite Cover Tun

Posted January 24, 2012

Don’t you love it when an artist starts playing a cover tune? That’s going to be the focus of our final day of highlighting independent musician, Deni Gauthier. If you didn’t catch the previous posts, go ahead and click Independent Musician, Deni Gauthier or Deni’s Music Videos.

Today, I’d like to focus on the amazing ability Deni has in designing unique cover tunes. Obviously, doing covers well can really improve an up-and-coming artist’s live show. People like to sing along and until a musician has reached radio play or mass downloads, covers can help make the stage show exciting. Deni does this well.

The fact is that Deni Gauthier has done this so well that he’s hit the recording studio with a few of these popular covers. In Deni’s cover album, Songs I Wish I Wrote, He proves his ability to keep the message of the greats like U2 and Neil Young.

This being said he re-packages them!

Deni puts the songs into new, yet familiar projects. It’s good stuff, so click HERE and start downloading. Also, let’s face it; Songs I Wish I Wrote is just a great album title to be scrolling through your iPod.

A last note, before you click play on today’s video clips. As I stated in earlier posts, please take note of the artistic abilities that are displayed in the set and filming of these music videos. They’re great post-modern, relaxed videos that one simply feels good watching. Grab a cup of Joe and take the time to enjoy your favourite songs unfold.

This is my favourite cover that Deni does.  Heart Of Gold by Neil Young was the album that came with my first car and since then, I enjoy anyone who can cover this song well, unpacking with some unique style.

U2 has been a prominent influence on Deni’s music. I have already featured Deni’s cover of One in a previous post. If you enjoyed it, I’m sure you’ll love With Or Without You.

The last Video Spot has also already been featured here at LeadBiblically.com last Christmas. It’s Deni’s cover of Sting’s Gabriel’s Message. Surely, we’re not that far off from the holidays to play a quality Christmas tune!
