THE DISCONNECTION THAT COMES FROM COMFORT

Does Life Feel Too Comfortable?

Does it gradually pull you from connecting with God?

For me, I have always been a morning person. I enjoy being up early before anyone else in the house is awake. This has been a huge help in providing consistency within my devotional time with the Lord.

That being said, though I rarely miss my obtaining some Biblical insight, I struggle with prayer. Interesting enough, prayer is not a struggle when life is chaotic or some trial has hit our family or ministries I oversee.

Why is that? Why can’t I fully engage with the Spirit when times are good? Why does my mind wander into the strangest areas of time and space? Why can’t I focus and fully connect with God?

Thankfully, I found within the Biblical account of Rachel and Leah, and through a few words from author, Donald Miller.

Check out the following updated posts based on Genesis 31 and Donald Miller’s book, “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years.”
