WHY JUDE’S EPISTLE IS WORTH READING TODAY

There is depth in this small book.

Jude is often a New Testament read that is overlooked or passed by. As far as preaching goes, have you ever heard a sermon series on the Book of Jude? I certainly haven’t.

Understandably, this has a lot to do with the fact that it is a short epistle. However, it is incredibly rich in doctrine and therefore, would make a great launching point for some great Biblical study.

Furthermore, it flows incredibly well. It almost has a poetic feel to it, regardless of the translation you read it in.

I specifically enjoy the Doxology in last two verses:

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.” (Jude 1:24-25)
