It was my privilege to be a guest on the UnSeminary Podcast to discuss evangelism and outreach with my context, Whitehorse, Yukon. Why is this an important discussion? Because Whitehorse has a high density of self-identifying non-religious population, according to Statistics Canada. At just under 51%, it might even be the most secular city in North America.

People are searching for answers. COVID-19 has brought an increased interested in Christianity. Pastors and ministers are fielding questions about the Bible, Jesus, Prayer, and eschatology (the study of end times). And social media has blown up with all sorts of questions.
Our church, like every church, was founded by a church plant. In May 1946 Rev. Harold Lee arrived in Whitehorse with his wife, Lydia. They had a passion for the Gospel and a heart for those who were marginalized. In September of that year, they planted the Whitehorse Gospel Chapel, the first evangelical church in our city.

Everyone needs to eat. Everyone who has ever lived and ever will live, must eat to survive. The problem is that sometimes, there’s no food available. This is a problem that the church can and should try to address.
We finally left this morning. After years of waiting, we are on our way to the Yukon.
God has finally fulfilled the call that He placed on our hearts, almost a decade ago. Proof that God’s calling is sometimes on a very different calendar than ours.
Our call has been to make Whitehorse our permanent field of harvest for future ministry. God fast-forwarded that plan. On September 3rd, 2014, we began our journey North.
Many of you have followed my ministry work for the past couple of years. This blog has served as a great resource for our friends and family, to experience my life and service to Alaskan youth. As you all know, there have not been many dull moments while serving in the Last Frontier.
