Why Jude’s Epistle Is a Timeless Treasure

Exploring the Depth of Jude

Jude’s epistle is an often overlooked gem in the New Testament. Think about it; when’s the last time you heard a sermon series on Jude? It’s rare. But tucked near the end of the Bible, this little letter holds a powerful message for every generation.

A Short but Powerful Epistle

Jude’s not long, and might be one reason it doesn’t get much pulpit time. Yet, it’s incredibly rich in doctrine, making it an excellent starting point for deep biblical study. Its poetic flow (no matter the translation) adds to its beauty and memorability.

One of my favourite moments comes at the close, with Jude’s stunning doxology:

“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 1:24–25, ESV)

Uncovering Rich Doctrinal Truths

Though short, Jude is packed with truth. It’s inspiring and instructive, calling us to persevere in the faith and rest in the keeping power of God. Revisiting this book can open our eyes to fresh insights and a deeper grasp of the gospel.
